About Our Tension Systems
The Flexcell® Tension Systems are cell stretching bioreactor systems that allow controlled, standard conditions for tensile strain application to cultured cells in vitro. Flexcell® Tension Systems can apply mechanical load (Equibiaxial or Uniaxial strain) to cells in 2D monolayer and 3D cell culture with an array of disposables and accessories.
Each Tension System consists of the following:
- FlexCentral® laptop loaded with proprietary FlexSoft® software to run the pre-programmed strain regimens
- Tension FlexLink® Controller to regulate vacuum pressure and/dry compressed air source
- Tension Baseplate comes in a variety of set-up options based on culture plate and load-type
